OUR WOOD GRILLS

Grillworks grills are designed for open fire cooking in its purest form – over whole wood. They can use high quality chunk charcoal too, but make no mistake, from step one on this journey we wanted to create machines that are the best wood-burners on the planet.

Direct Fire Access

In Argentine-style cooking the fire is the symphony. The chef conductor of the action – able to control practically every detail of the cooking process, making mid-course corrections based on what they see and feel.

Heat and Height Control

Every model Grillworks grill, compact to vast, freestanding to built-in, home to pro, is designed so the operator can begin cooking as soon as the flame leaps to life. In order to accomplish this each grill has a signature cast-crankwheel lift system that can carry the cooking surfaces through at least 16 inches of vertical range, allowing heat to be easily controlled whether the fire is high and new, or low and slow. Even different woods burn at different intensities, so height control makes consistency possible no matter what the fire’s character.

Durabilty

Every Grillworks grill is built entirely in 304 stainless steel or special-order 316 marine stainless. No thin skin for us. The stainless we use is heavy gauge plate and tube, with every single model far exceeding even professional restaurant standards. We build to last as close to forever as humanly possible.

Our custom Hearth Array builds key on the residence or restaurant’s concept, and combine stainless steel elements with the best that cast iron, bronze, copper or carbon steel bring to cooking and to an aesthetic. Many of our Hearth Arrays are built with stainless, carbon steel and both bronze and copper accents.

OUR HOME GRILLS

Built-In Architectural Grills

We also offer our Architectural line to those wanting to complete an exterior or interior design with a statement wood-fired cooking element. These grills are most recognizable to our friends in Argentina as the traditional element of any country house or ranch. Ours are built not just for utility, but to either center or aesthetically compliment a space. Standard sizes range from 36 inches wide up to 72, with many options and almost infinite customizations possible.

Freestanding

Home is where Grillworks started. Every model we make harkens back to the little grill Charles Eisendrath invented over 40 years ago. The Grillworks 20, in fact, shares the exact same footprint, look, and capabilities of the original. Joining the 20 is an array of freestanding grills that range in size from the 20 (named for the cooking surface size) up to the show-stopping, restaurant-level Langelier X54.

OUR PROFESSIONAL GRILLS & SYSTEMS

The Infiernos - X100, X166, X240

Numbered for their size, our flagship self-contained grills are dubbed ‘Infierno’ for obvious reasons. These grills are built to battleship scale. They aren’t designed to melt into the background anywhere, rather they are the statement piece whether indoors, outdoors, alone or anchoring a fiery kitchen line.

The Infiernos - 46/55/66 - Langelier Elite

When customers stunned by a restaurant’s large Infierno began asking if they could put an Infierno in their homes, we answered.

These smaller Infierno models, designed to be part of a restaurant line, but refined to also suit very special residential projects, are a double threat. Named for a longtime customer, Bill Langelier, who was the first to commission a home build, these three models can be freestanding, built into a site-designed enclosure, or fit to a professional kitchen suite by our friends at Hestan.

Built-in EXO Pro Grills

Many restaurant designers and chefs have a very specific look in mind for their new space and kitchen. The EXO Pro line is intended to compliment an overall design aesthetic. These grills offer almost every capability of the Infierno line, but come ready to slide into an enclosure built by our customer. Whereas a large Infierno may be the whole hot line, the EXO Pro arrives ready to be a team player.

“Grillworks’s top of the line ‘Infierno’ has to be seen to be believed. It is not the Cadillac of grills but the Rock Star Tour Bus of Grills. Get something from Grillworks and they won’t just envy you, they’ll take pictures!”
